We heard about ML through another IAHP mum, didn’t know what it was but booked a week with Michelle. He was 18mo already commando crawling crooked but never rolled. We were pretty stagnant in the movement department even with doing IAHP. In that week started rolling. Still didn’t really understand what ML was. But thought next time we’ll do two weeks. 6 months later we did two weeks. He started 4 point crawling the day after we got home. Then I started really paying attention to what it was how to try and do it on him. 6 months later we did 3 weeks and a few extra little stints here and there with them and when we got home he began cruising. Then they came out to Australia in Jan and he had another 2 weeks he was tall kneel walking and getting more comfortable on his feet. Covid hit and we were therapy-less and so we did all the segments. I had already done some of her courses and would watch her videos. I think my favorite course is Segment 1 because it really tied everything together for me. I know she recorded it live but it was the best! So much detail, answers to peoples questions and really fabulous overview. 9 months after 4 segments and tons of ML he pushed up off a stool and took 5 steps! I’m always working on him with ML, I like to think I understand it but I’m so exhausted I don’t know that I do. I just play a video and copy what Michelle does with a gentle rotational touch. I don’t think you need to “get” ML to allow it to have a positive effect on your child and family. I actually find it easier to work on my family than George. 85% of my work on George is done while he sleeps which is probably why I’m so exhausted I’m forever grateful to Michelle for sharing ML and training her wonderful practitioners Felipe and Claudia. Truly an amazing therapy!

"When my son was born, doctors and neurologists said he won’t necessarily walk or talk. As a family, we were determined to help him from the start. However, on his first birthday, he wasn't able to roll or sit independently for more than a few minutes, and shortly after that, I found ML FB group through another mom. I posted a video of Neal and followed Michelle’s advice religiously every day and exactly one week after, my son started army crawling. He has come so far since as I knew in my gut that this is our way forward. The gentle approach was pleasant for the child and he never cried for therapy since! We visited Michelle in Arizona and understood the impact vision had on his movements. I went on to take segment 1 and 2 trainings so I can help him at home. The cognitive vision course and the cranial course, in particular, has been truly invaluable for our son. I do ML everyday for at least 2 hours or more. He is now 2.5 and walks by holding one hand and can put three-word sentences together. We have a long way to go but ML has given us the reassurance that our son will leap ahead. Michelle and her genius way of working in relationship to gravity is the only way forward.

Hallo liebe Leute, ich habe das online-Training Segment 1 gemacht und war begeistert und bin es immer noch ! Geplant war der Kurs "live" in England, aber ein Virus kam dazwischen. War enttäuscht und dann dankbar. Michelle und team hatten es in kurzer Zeit geschafft einen online-kurs anzubieten. Es war/ist nicht mein erster "Kurs" in der Welt von Bewegungslehren, auch Feldenkrais war dabei. Also bei meinen vergangenen Lehrgängen direkt vor Ort, war es ja so, dass der Trainer vorzeigt und wir uns dann mit Trainingspartnern auf eigenes Erforschen und Probieren einließen. Es war nicht immer möglich, dass der Trainer alle Fragen beantworten konnte, und alle 20 Teilnehmer gleichzeitig begleiten konnte :-)),...die sich während dem praktischen Arbeiten ergaben. Jetzt kann ich sagen: ich bin sooo glücklich mit Seg 1 lifetime. Ich erkenne die Vorteile, mir Videos immer wieder ansehen zu können, und wenn ich möchte sogar in Zeitlupe :-)). Ich trage mit der online-Ausbildung von Michelle eine Schatzkiste in Händen, die ich jederzeit aufmachen kann, je nachdem, wo ich gerade bin oder wofür ich gerade bereit bin . Das Gefühl Michelle "jederzeit" in einer gebuchten Zoom-Stunde ausführlich fragen zu können, gibt mir sehr viel Natürlich auch die fb-Gruppe Seg. I von damals, hat mir viel Unterstützung, Motivation und Gemeinschaftsgefühl gebracht.

Because my daughter was the first to get a new drug that stopped the progression of her disease, doctors had no idea what to expect. At two weeks old I knew my daughter wouldn't be like other children. She didn't move much and I figured if children's health were on a scale of 0 to 100 my daughter must be somewhere on the lower end, which I guessed was okay. Nobody had told me otherwise. I went to my pediatrician and he wanted to give it a couple of months to see where my daughter progressed. Everyone told me that she would start moving eventually. She was getting a slow start. 

Thankfully another mom referred me to another pediatrician, who said my daughter had Spinal Muscular Atrophy. By the end of that day, we were in a children's hospital trying to figure out what to do next. We would start the new drug Spinraza (Nusinersen) but We had no guarantees. 

A week after being admitted into the hospital my daughter had to be put on life support and there we sat in the NICU for the next 2 months. We extubated three times but each time we had to reintubate because my daughter couldn't breathe. It was like she was being crushed by the air around her.

We were going to extubate one more time with a DNR. I needed a miracle. I prayed and I found Michelle. I knew without a doubt I needed to contact her so I did, al be it a little unprofessionally but I was desperate and I needed to know if she could help my baby. 

I felt relieved when she called me back and suggested some videos. I tried them and completely slaughter the execution of the videos. I sent her a video showing her what I did to the baby and well...it was wrong. She did another video for me on her baby doll and I followed what she did exactly. I didn't not time frame so I did fifteen minutes worth of the breathing exercise on each of her sides and that same day my baby slept and breathed better than she had since we had entered the hospital two months before. 

Long story short I knew I had to learn everything I could about Movement Lesson. Michelle is the only one who believed in my child's possibilities instead of her limitations. No one else could give me movement possibilities for my child, so I was going to learn anything and everything I could about Movement Lesson™ and how to make it work for my child. 

I spent hours watching Michelle's YouTube videos and just copying what I saw her hands do. I didn't know what to expect except I hoped for movement. Literally, my baby did nothing, super floppy, and milestone accomplishment was the last thing on my mind. I was hoping to see my baby move her fingers and maybe her toes. So I worked on the inchstone even the milimiterstone accomplishment timeline. 

The therapists came in PT, OT, and ST. I asked them the plans and the Physical Therapist said we were going to start with head control and work our way down. I asked Michelle what to do for head control and she said work on the pelvis. I was way confused. The pelvis was halfway down the body, how would that help head control? But instead of doubting I just trusted what Michelle said. I found every video she had on the pelvis and I tried it on my daughter, and you guess what, MY DAUGHTER STARTED HAVING HEAD CONTROL!. I mean it was milliseconds but it was something. I had no idea how working on the pelvis made this possible. I knew I needed to go to the trainings and start mastering this therapy. 

I went to training before Michelle did them online so I traveled for three days in a car with my toddler, newborn, and my mother-in-law and we drove to Arizona to spend a day and then turn around and come home. Upon being there a day I knew I had to find a way to stay longer. I could only manage two or three more days but I asked Michelle every question I could think of so I could really put this technique into practice once I made it back home. 

Some days I spent hours on my daughters and other days I could only manage a few minutes. But because my daughter came from nothing I knew that every new movement was because of the Movement Lesson Technique. 

What amazed me even more, as I went to these live training I watched and felt this technique work on children of all kinds, rare genetics, undiagnosed, seizures, cortical visual impairment (CVI), and more. In her youtube videos, I watched these techniques work in an even larger variety of persons. It worked on everyone, typical non-typical, everyone. So since then I have tried it on everyone and anyone I have touched has experienced improved movement, it's amazing. 

My daughter four years later is excelling despite the deadliness of her disease. Hospital therapists said that my daughter is doing so well they would have thought she was a treated type 2 SMA instead of a type 1. No other type 1 affected child to the severity mine was is even close to what my daughter can do in speech, physical ability, and more. Every other parent has gone the traditional therapy route because they didn't know any better. I went all-in with Movement Lesson™. Yes, therapists came into my home but they played with the work I had done. I didn't let them put my daughter in a stander, afos or anything. Though minimal my child can weight bear without a stander. It's minimal, again an inchstone compared to a typical child but I am super happy with inchstone development. 

I don't have to go looking for any other therapy. I know there are so many out there, but I don't need to try the other therapies because I know Movement Lesson™ has everything my daughter needs to give her the most opportunity for functional movement. If I need to see another doctor or do something that Movement Lesson™ can't address Michelle lets me know. She makes it clear that she is not a doctor but a movement specialist, so Movement Lesson is meant to supplement the other cares and needs a child has, it does not replace any medical necessities a child has. 

This is probably too long but, Movement Lesson is AMAZING! Hands down it's one of the most important things I have done for my children and for all of my family. I have had three more children since this child and each has had Movement Lesson from day one. I have been able to help my children thrive and it really makes me feel like a super mom. I make sure my kids get the medical help they need when they need it, but now I have something I can do that I know helps them move better. Again, so amazing!
