.
Have you ever been falling asleep and you almost feel like you are floating almost like you are in an upright position?
.
And then...
.
You are falling...
.
Falling...
.
FALLING FAST...
.
and WHAM!
.
You startle Big Time and you are back in your body in a horizontal position.
.
Knowing where we are at in space is Super Important.
.
I am not talking about in relationship to the floor, but in your relationship to gravity and your force interaction relationships.
.
Your body needs to know when it is, Horizontal, or Vertical whether or not I am laying on the floor or hanging in the air.
.
When we move, we should be building a Symbiotic Relationship With Gravity.
.
We experience gravity in 360 degrees. It's all around us.
.
That being said our balance has to be in 360 degrees.
.
A child shouldn't be randomly falling, (yes we may occasionally trip on things, I am not talking about that kind of falling).
.
Falling should not be a constant in a child's life.
.
Startling should not be a constant in a child's life.
.
If you find yourself saying things like, "My child is so unbalanced," or "My child keeps falling."
.
This is a sign to you that your child's gravity milestones are off and their ability to manipulate forces is off.
.
To improve balance you can't focus on balance, but you must focus on movement momentum.
.
It's like learning to ride a bike.
.
If you focus on the feet, the bike, and the ground, you will fall.
.
Instead, you need to look where you are going, and peddle.
.
The balance happens naturally when you start gaining momentum.
.
When it comes to working with your child and you are focusing on building muscle, a milestone event, or skipping milestones, or strapping a kid up, balance will become more and more difficult.
.
Instead, you want to focus on movement momentum.
.
This includes establishing your child's gravity milestones and establishing the absolute horizon and the absolute vertical, working on your child's buoyancy and so on.
.
A successful milestone is not about an event but the parts and pieces of movement that make up that event.
